Door Operator
A door operator is the powered device or assembly that opens and closes an elevator car door and, in common automatic systems, the landing door coupled to it.
On a typical passenger elevator, the operator is mounted on the car and drives the car door. When the car reaches a floor, a coupler connects the car door to the landing door so they open together.
The interlock has a separate job: it prevents normal travel unless the landing door is locked. If doors repeatedly reopen, move slowly or fail to close, report the problem using the door-fault guide; do not try to adjust the equipment.
